Ok after the huge excitement Cadwell has caused among members and the fantastic response
whos up for a 3rd Junkies day later in the year
Spoke to No Limits when sorting Cadwell availability and they have Rockingham available on August Bank holiday Sunday which is the 26th August

Rockinghams right on my doorstep, so all being well I'll be there to ride or watch, I cant book anything yet as my missus is gonna be having more major surgery some time next year so alot depends on when the NHS(No Hope Sucker) can fit her in.

OK spoke to No Limits and its like this
They have Rockingham on Sunday 26th August and its the National circuit cost is £129 less your junkies discount
or
They have Rockingham on Monday 27th August and its the International circuit cost is £155 less your junkies discount
I'm not so sure i fancy the monday as the International uses part of the oval so could possibly be up for the Sunday and its cheaper too ;) not only that means you can sit at home and watch BSB on tv on the Monday or go to Cadwell on the Bike :D
i would vote for the national circuit cos a) i love it and know it b)it gives us boys on 600's a chance to beat the 1000 brigade up a bit and c) i love it.
seriously the little national track is has a really nice mix of corners and is not too hard to learn for eople who are going there for the first time. whichever you go for count me in.

I'd be interested in this (especially the Sunday), I like Rockingham national and it's less than 20 miles from me, didn't do it at all last year as I was sulking as I've been knocked off twice there, never happened to me anywhere else in 80+ td's. First time as I stomped through the gravel to explain my feelings I realised the guy had a bone sticking out of his leathers so decided saying anything was pretty pointless! Second time some numb nuts clipped me and didn't even have the good grace to fall off himself, my mate who was behind us did a heroic rolling stoppie to avoid hitting me, then his bike ended up so deep in the gravel it stood up on its own. I explained my feelings by tw@tting him, I believe 100% bikes used me in thier briefings for sometime after!

Been round Rockingham a couple of times, once in a Mini Cooper S on one of them experience days, and again on a Bikesafe day just after I passed my test.

Tink I think the international circuit for bikes is different to the one shown on the website. Cos I'm sure they have said in the past bikes weren't allowed on the banked corners only the straights. But its been two years since I was there.
This is the layout from when I went
still cadwell BSB for me im afraid.. proper gutted but my tickets are baught and paid for.
would love a stab at Donnington or an evening session back at cadwell
there is an evening session at Donny on Fri 29th June that i'm contemplating £75 but its a quiet evening ( have to put my baffle in for that )

Donny is a peace of cake to learn, but not so easy to perfect if you want to be proper quick, and if you have or can borrow the Moto GP on the Play station, it's inch perfect, and when I did my first ever lap there, it was like I knew it like my right hand.:D
Donny will destroy your tyres, because it has grip like no other track in my opinion, but, the plus side for the track day virgin, you'll carry some proper lean angle and corner speed, because the corners make you open the throttle before you get up right, which is also the place to give your knee sliders a bedding in.
As for Craner Curves, it's all about having big balls, (or big nipples if your a girl:lol:).
And, they got pit garages with electric and everything, rather than a car park:D

Wish more of you lived down south so we could do a track not covered in snow and in the grim norf!!!! It's a fair trek to ride up to Donny/etc ride all day, then ride back!!
Raced a couple of times at Brands/Snet/Lydden/etc with BEMSEE a few years ago and love the tracks down here!! Also did that Suzi GSXR6 experience at Mallory in 1998, twas a good day for my first track time!!

What's the final verdict, which track,which day, I can do either or both just need time to let people cover for me at work.I'll be comming down from the North west and staying over night, if anyone needs a lift I have a choice of a few vans I can fit a few bikes in my van.

I did the International track on Sunday, while it seemed a little featureless (pretty flat) it was a good circuit with good facilities. It was mostly left handers though and I was real slow on them compared to the rights.

I'm riding up from Oxford, but very early - probably 6:00. I usually get lost a couple of times trying to get to these kind of things, but at least this time there won't be a detour due to the Formula 1.

Excellent day - great crack .................too many folk going down the road though........mostly Kawa's if I recollect properly although I did see an SV1000 not get round the right hander at the end of the start finish straight...........

How was Silverstone on Monday ?

Big and fast, even on the national circuit which was maybe a third of the full thing. I was getting into maybe the top of 4th gear on the straights, then having to drop down into second through the corners. I was struggling a bit during the day, perhaps I was a bit too tired?
Anyway, the weather held up, there were very few incidents and I had loads of fun - will definitely go to Silverstone again.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it.
I'm just waiting to get new tyres and also sort out a trailer then I was going to post up about doing another day at Rockingham or Silverstone.
Anyone interested ?
