The FIM has released an updated version of the 2007 World Superbike calendar, and the good news for British fans is an additional round in the UK - with the return of Donington Park.
Donington, scene of many great WSBK races in the past and home of the British Motorcycle Grand Prix, lost its World Superbike race to Silverstone after the 2001 season - but has now joined the Northamptonshire circuit and the massively supported Brands Hatch event in the 2007 line-up.
The new calendar also confirms that Misano - due to be heavily modified for MotoGP - will again host the San Marino round, while the previous 'to be announced' season finale has now been dropped, meaning that the championship will again end at Magny Cours in France.
However, the final 2007 calendar is still to be decided with the FIM stating that the championship will run over fourteen events (two more than 2006) and that another venue in July is still to be announced.
