Jorge Lorenzo made the most of the good weather to top the second and final day of 250cc world championship testing at Barcelona in Spain.
Unlike on Thursday, the rain held off, allowing all the riders to improve on their day one times.
Defending world champion Lorenzo was no exception the 20-year-old Spaniard knocked over a second from his previous mark to lap the track in 1:46.900 on his Fortuna Aprilia.
His countryman and former team-mate Hector Barbera was second as he continued to get used to his new seat with Toth Aprilia, while the surprise of the session was category newcomer Julian Simon in a superb third place on his Repsol Honda.
The former 125 world championship race-winner was one place ahead of his Japanese team-mate Shuhei Aoyama, while Valencia pace-setter Alex de Angelis was fifth – despite a morning crash – on the best of the Aspar Aprilias.
Last year's runner-up Andrea Dovizioso was sixth as the Humangest Honda team continued to be out-classed by the Repsol squad in the pre-season running.
125cc world champion Alvaro Bautista was seventh for Aspar Aprilia, while Scuderia Metis Gilera duo Roberto Locatelli and Marco Simoncelli, and Blausens Aprilia rider Aleix Espargaro completed the top-ten.
