From Max's website.

Hi guys, mission completed!! What a feeling! It’s still difficult to believe it, but I swear that after what I have passed in 2005, winning at the debut, has been the most beautiful thing that could happen to me. Be forced to stay out one year has not been easy, I kept inside that anger and the huge disappointment to be outside of this world for one year, I have let out that suffering trying to keep on training, I didn't want to give up everything, so I’ve trained so much just as if I had to race, maybe more. Even if I knew that I was not going to be able to be on track….Anyway now I’m back, riding has always meant everything to me and this win is been the goal of my life!! I’m still excited now that I’m writing you, I have dedicated the victory to Francis Batta, which has strongly believed in me, and he really wanted me in SBK, unfortunately he has not been able to follow me from Qatar. I know that he’s not very well, but I really hope he can recover soon. We are now getting ready for the second race in Phillip Island. I like the Australian circuit and I hope to do well. I can’t wait to be on track again! Ok, I want to thank you once again for your great support, I know you have always been with me. With love,

Max

I have never been patriotic and I never will. Why should I be?

The only non foreign riders I have supported or support were/are Steve Hislop, Karl Harris and Stuart Easton.

P.S. Woody, I won't mate, I know it is only harmless banter.

The way it will be this season..................:D ;)
