Hector Barbera continued his excellent winter form by topping the final day of pre-season testing for the 250cc world championship in Qatar.
In warmer and less windy weather conditions, the 20-year-old Spaniard, who has regularly set top-three times in every test during the off-season, was again fastest at the Losail circuit in a time of 2:00.258 on his Team Toth Aprilia.
Barbera, who will start the season as one of the hot favourites for the title, led a 1-2-3-4 for the Italian manufacturer as Alex de Angelis and Alvaro Bautista followed on their Aspar bikes.
World champion Jorge Lorenzo wound up fourth on his Fortuna machine after topping the timesheets on Wednesday, while Roberto Locatelli was fifth on his Scuderia Metis Gilera.
2006 runner-up Andrea Dovizioso was the top Honda rider in sixth on his Humangest machine, with the KTMs of Mika Kallio and Hiroshi Aoyama and Thomas Luthi's Caffe Latte Aprilia next up.
Shuhei Aoyama, who was the only Repsol Honda rider present thanks to an injury to his team-mate Julian Simon, completed the top ten.
