Michael Laverty on the Relentless Suzuki stayed out of trouble to secure his second race win of the season at round two of the Maxxis British Superbike Championship at Thruxton.
Laverty had been running third behind his team-mate Ian Lowry and Virgin Media rider Tom Grant when the pair crashed out at the chicane.
This crash allowed Jamie Robinson up into second place on his Margal/Bykerbabe Honda while Billy McConnell, on the second of the Yamaha's finished in third place.
The Padgetts Honda team had a bad day at the office with neither rider Dennis Hobbs nor John McGuinness finishing the race due to technical problems.
