The third practice session for the Isle of Man TT Centenary races has been cancelled due to wet weather.
Safety is paramount at a pure road event and there is nothing to be gained from running in the current conditions.
Tuesday's practice session saw a few break downs and a couple of small crashes. Guy Martin's Hydrex Honda Supersport bike had a technical problem during the session and he ended up parked at the Black Dub drinking coffee with the marshals.
William Dunlop came off at Water Works and was described as having minor abrasions. Alan Chamley and Conor Cummins had a small coming together at Laurel Bank. Chamley was initially knocked out while Cummins was described as shaken but unhurt. There were also incidents reported with Roger Maher and Karsten Schmidt at Water Works and Quarter Bridge respectively but both reported only minor injuries.
In the sidecars, Dave Molyneux and Rick Long's problems continued. They got as far as Bray Hill before pulling in with mechanical problems. They were forced to watch as their rivals Nick Crowe and Dan Sayle again set the fastest practice time with a 114.208mph lap. Meanwhile Klaus Klaffenbock and Christian Parzer stopped at Sulby Straight with a detached fuel pipe which was spraying petrol onto the exhaust pipe of the sidecar.
Practice will continue tomorrow evening with roads closing at 6pm.
