Just curious, after starting racing and going to tracks and seeing the various setups as in, motorhomes, trailers, awnings, marquee's (gazebo's), etc. Im pondering on how to improve the ease of the way everything works and obviously look that bit more professional and not to mention have some sort of cover over my head when it rains.

So i would just like to see pics of how you do it and what you got that gets you through a race meet or track day, and if you could point me in the direction of were to get stuff and some new ideas, although with my budget i wont be buying a motorhome just yet. :D

One example ive seen though is www.galatents.co.uk seen a few of they're tents at the BSB on the weekend and thats the kind of thing im after.

(random thread but just thought id ask)

:D

A caravan with a awning would be a good start - this can be towed by your van, which carries your bike – if you’ve got loads of money a horse box with sleeping / living quarter

Ive only got a modeo estate and a single bike trailer and im limited with space for a van, although i reckon i could get a box type trailer to get everythin in on the drive.

Would like to see some pics of setups to be nosey!

Am guessing you trailer your bike then?

In that case then your only other option other than a gazebo is large tent with enough space to wheel the bike in - like this http://www.tents-direct.co.uk/show_tent.php?productid=463

These are what most teams etc use they are fast and easy but fairly bulky depending on what size you have....hope it helps....

hi mate, box trailer ideal, but never that cheap, you can pick a van up for similar money, know you dont have to tax a trailer etc. garden type gazebos cheap, never that strong. khyam tents do day tents/shelters that are quick erect (oo er) £200 or less 3mx3m and larger, fiked sides that can roll up have a look on web site. if you got a box trailer there are awnings you can attach to the sides, fiamma make some-caravan shops etc

I got one of those easy up gazebo's for £60 off ebay and i thought it would do the job, i used it at anglesey and as soon it was up it was broken by the wind, so never a cheaper one again, thats why i was looking at the ones on the link in my first post, they are alot stronger, obviously take alittle longer to put up, but if some guys in the R6 cup, superstocks, etc are using them then they must hold up to some abuse, plus any side can open up, that particular company do all the spare parts, you can expand on the size by buying extra bits rather than the full thing again, etc etc.

Idealy i would have a van, but still living with parents, so i currently have 2 bikes and a car and a van aswell would be pushing my luck, which is why im thinking of a box trailer, atleast then it could go on the drive or my grandads drive. Plus its easier than insuring, taxing, mot'ing a van, obviously when i actually have some money and get my own gaff (if i can afford to race then) i will get a van.

To be honest, i knew what i was after, was just bored and curiousity got the better of me and thought i would ask you guys what you think and if there was anythin that you knew of that could help me out.

 So if anyone has a box trailer let me know!
