Anyone on here race with ng

Ive got my first race on the 18th august with ng at snetterton and cant wait, im going in the streetstocks so it shouldnt be as mad as the formula 600 class.

Was just wondering if anyone else on here is with them?.

I am with them and supposed to be competing this year but had a big off at Cadwell Park in April on a Bemsee weekend. Screwed my ankle back together and now being patient to get back racing soon, well, next year anyway.

I am planning to be there that weekend as Brian (scrutineer) has tickets for me and the wifey.

My mates supposed to be doing thruxton with NG next month (I'm not as my balls are too small for that track :eek:) I'll be there spannering on this one though

Hi mate i'll be on a blue k1 gixxer 6 with newlun performance down the side. My race number should be 42.

Im bricking it but am also really excited and cant wait for saturday!.

Aslong as the weather stays good i'll be a happy boy.

Just wishing you good luck, i started racing this year (first race at oulton park) thinking was i good enough etc and i tell you what who cares, just get out there and enjoy im sure you will do better than you think, at my first race i came 4th in race 2 for the consilation race and won a trophy.

I got a K1 600 and it does the job, just learn from those that dont have bibs and just generally take in as much as you can!

Mr loon what club do you race with?, ive said to myself i want to finish about mid pack but really aslong as i stay on then i'll be happy!.

Thats awesome you finished 4th in your first race, fair play to you.

My mate is racing in the same race but he's on a zx10 so will quickly dissapear but at the start im going to try and follow him through the pack and see how far i can keep up.

I race with the Wirral 100 club, they only race at oulton park and anglesey, but its a start.

You will be surprised how many 1000cc bikes you will go past, the first race of the day is usually a qualifier for the championship race, so its mixed in with 600's, 600 steel frames and the 1000cc bikes and i tell you im not naturally talented and ive went past plenty of 1000cc bikes and even on the straights, just coz they have a bigger bike dont mean there balls are bigger!

Haha yeah im going after the 1000cc boys, although snetterton has some long straights so i may be out dragged im still going to be a pain to them and try and mix it with them.

What number were you mate?. My clutch went on the qualifying race so i couldnt race. Although me mate raced and he won so it wasnt too bad.

Im pretty pleased with my lap times because by the end of the weekend i managed to knock 4 seconds off my lap times and i knew i could've gone quicker the next time out.

Im doing thruxton with ng and im going to do 600's and newcomers instead.

How did you get on with the 600 class?.

Sorry to hear that. I'm number 220, I actually come 3rd in that race and was awarded rider of the day. I'm just about to enter Thruxton as well.

I'd say I'd prefer the 600 open, at least not competing against 1000's. The class is a little stronger, lever of bike slightly better, but my old standard K1 manages to get in the points. I admit the rain helps.
