It doesn’t take that much to get a smile out of a bike rider, does it? After what seems like a whole summer of squelching around on soggy roads, all it takes is a dry 10 mile commute on semi-quiet roads to put a grin on my face again. In short, although autumn is fast approaching, there’s still a chance to get some decent riding in. Believe!
Anyway, there’s a new issue of the mag out, it says October on the front (in small print) and it’s got a nice big pic of Mr Simon Roots in a red Alpinestars suit on a yellow R1 on the cover. We’re not trying to bribe you with any freebies on the cover this month, so we will live and die by the stories inside.
There’s a better mix of stuff inside than there was in the previous issue (as far as I’m concerned), so October has some behind the scenes race stuff at Ten Kate, a tech story on air-cooled engines, BSB star Leon Haslam takes us around the Brands Indy circuit, a guide to UK roads, a head to head test of the Ducati S4RS and KTM Super Duke R on road and track and another 100 pages of other stuff that I wont bore you with. Pick up a copy of the mag, flick through it and see what you reckon. Abuse and observations to the usual email address please.
And, as a final thought, I was writing up an interview with Honda’s former world supersport champion Sebastien Charpentier the other day and he was talking about how good the stock CBR600RR was. He reckoned you could race it in stock trim to a decent level. Well, I thought, a Honda man would say that, wouldn’t he? But then I got to wondering if a ****ber like me could qualify a stock CBR600RR and race it? At my age? With my inexperience? What do you think? Is that a story you might read? I need a nudge in the right direction people, so let me know your thoughts on the topic.
Steady away.

I just thought I would post this for those that havent seen the mag or don't read it.....It would be worth watching and reading the experiences of a "complete nobber" as he puts it...what do you guys think? I haven't altered or edited the email in case its copyright infringement etc.
