not there, but go for a harder rear tyre to make it last. i use SC3 supercorsa pro's and they last OK

Its more a suspension problem, im spinning it up out of all the right handers, had some major moments last time there last month, so just gonna have to be more steady with the throttle, im racing there the 29th and 30th. New bike next year hence why i dont wanna put any money into this bike, so its just to get me through the year really, but its making me learn more about the bike and what to do with a problem like i have, i got told by maxton to try some different settings, so gonna give it a go and see how i get on.

:D

almost certainly, your tyre's also causing the problems. go for a harder compound and run more rear rebound to compensate for the grippy track.

Im riding the full circuit this time so there will be more gaps when im on the right hand side of the tyre, so that should help i think because i was doing the coastal circuit i was on the right and hand side of the tyre too much and it was getting too hot, but with the straights on the full circuit i think that should level it out a bit! :fool:

if the right hand side is getting too hot, then your tyre pressure is too high...

the tyre wont cool down that much between corners.....

go for a harder compond tyre if you want it to last......

i run SC3 pirelli rears at anglesey now and dont have an issue with tyre wear over a day on a very fast TD

the full circuit is only a bit longer... the heat build up is over the full circuit and you spend alot of time on the back right handed long staright and that chews soft tyres....

I forgot to mention i lowered the tyre pressure for the second race and it did help, ive got my tyres for the next race, all i could get hold of really, im running racetecs K1 front and K2 Rear.

This is what it looked like after one day (1 practice and 2 races)

as i said, the tyre is TOO SOFT....

you need a K3 rear

i've done 5 tds at anglesey this year and a pirelli Sc3 rear will last a day and a bit... its because the surface is so grippy, it chews tyres.... running more rebound on the rear helps, but it doesnt matter what suspension settings or pressures you have, it will chew a soft/medium tyre

as i was told recently, the suspension is set to get the bike to handle, you then choose the tyre to go with the suspension... make/compond/pressure etc.... most people have tyre issues... not suspension issues if they have excessive tyre wear, especailly if the bike is handiling well....

Cheers littleblue, will give it a go and see how i get on, didnt actually know they did a K3 though!
