Just a quick one to see if anyone can help me out.
I’m currently working on my zxr 400 race bike and have decided to replace the front master cylinder (as the original was knackered) and whilst im forking out for another one i was wondering if i should upgrade?
Now i don’t want to spend £££'s on it, i was just wondering if a master cylinder off a bigger bike would give me better stopping power??
Any help is much appreciated.

yep, a late model GSXR radial MC will be better than the original one you have.... not as good as a brembo, but not far off....
check your regs to make sure you can swap the MC for racing... ;)

Cheers for the info guys.
Ive started to strip the whole bike down for winter to get ready for next season,so i have plenty of time to think about it.
The regs arnt that strict with the clubs that i race in, ive also heard that i could replace the standard calipers to the gsxr k1/2 6 pots, so im thinking of doin that to improve the whole of the braking, but not sure yet as i dont want to be throwing money at it for small braking gains.
Thanks again.

the tokico 4 pots actually give better feel than the 6 pots..... i swapped to the 4 pots on my K2 gsxr thou and it was alot better. some people went the other way, is put 6 pots on their 600/750, but i dont think it improved the brakes. many club racers at the time put the 4 pots on their thous... ;)
