Spare can incase one fails the noise limit (unless it has already been tested).
Spare bodywork fasteners and other nuts/ bolts, sods law says you will lose them.
Spare lockwiring
Double up on essential tools (most common socket sizes).
Pop rivets are always handy when working on a bike.
Most importantly a camera to record/ picture you fun.

as above plus
dog tags
pen and notepad
change of underwear ( at some point you WILL need it - lol!)
mate with a camera or vid
and the most important bit of kit
bullshit detector ( there will always be at least one major bullshitter in every paddock )
oh for me the most important thing was a packet of mints, - chuck one in your mouth whilst you kit up before the race, it will help calm your nerves whilst they keep you waiting in pit lane for an eternity (whilst your lovely warm tyres get cooler by 10 degrees every second!)
enjoy yourselves ! racing is the most fun that you can have witnh your leathers on :)

thanks for all the advice guys, sould be able to have my boy organised for next season with that.
Maybe one day i'll get quick enought to have a go myself!!
spare visors and lots of tear offs
Spare helmet a good idea, if you fall off marshals WILL remove gold sticker. Don't recall reading generator, at brands they have electric towers so a long 30m or 50 m extension cable.

for pit bitches uneed to keep warm, and get a kettle!!!!!!!! and a fold out table
CUPS (as i forget theses)
tea , coffee sugar and milk
read bits of the haynes manual and get to know which allen keys are good for what and make sure black tape is on top,
Get used to taking fairing off
for scrutineering make sure jubalie clips can be seen or u have to take belly pan off at scrutinering (think its a filter downt hat way they need to see)
learn to change the wheels, know when a break needs bleeding and when they rattle as they go off a race meet is not a gr8 time to say "u need a cam chain tensioner kit on that hun" coz it dontmatter how sweatly u smile it dont go down well

Dont forget your oils too and things like different sprockets, spare toe sliders can come in handy too, knee sliders can normally be bought at the track so dont worry about them.
Oh nearly forgot, a foot pump'll come in handy and a tyre pressure guage ;)

you need a range of numbers as your race number may well change between meetings/events depending on who your racing with and the class.
also, get a big clock for the wall, so that everyone can see the time. sounds obvious, but alot of racers dont wear a watch with their keathers, so without a clock, they are forever asking what the time is.
two pairs of gloves is a benefit if its raining for say the first race and then dries out... you can use your dry gloves for when its dry.
have heard that the new ACu regs for 2008 will require either hardened engine cases or stock cases with carbon covers, to help prevent spills during crashes.
