GixerJunkies Donington Trackday Group Photo - Friday 28th March
Just to let everyone know who is attending (whether riding or watching) that I am going to organise a group photo at lunch time. After a quite a few phone calls from |Scottyh to Caroline we have got the thumbs up to do this :worship:
What we are planning to do is get everyone (which will probably be 200-250 people) together at the start of lunch time and get a group photo on the START GRID.
Bob (race control) has very kindly said we will be able use the start finish straight at the start of lunch time to take the photo. What we need to do is get everyone including bikes GSXR's ONLY on the start grid and in place, take the photo and clear the track as quickly as possible so that everyone can have a break and get some lunch.
The plan is to get all the GSXR’s lined up on the start grid, all facing the same direction, all in line and as evenly spaced as we can etc etc. People are welcome to either sit on their bikes or stand next to them.
Then fill the both sides of the start finish straight with Junkies. What I’m hoping to do is get up as high as possibly (hopefully on the gantry) and take the photo which gives me the best chance of getting everyone in.
What I need to ask from everyone is to be organised, bearing in mind we are going to trying to squeeze over 200 people/bikes into one photo. As soon as lunch time comes get your bike out of the garage, get it positioned, on a paddock stand etc. Get everyone looking the right way.
Tink will be bringing a GixerJunkies banner which will go at the front of the photo too :D:D:D . Also the more people wearing Junkies T-shirts the better and Gixer Junkies t-shirt wearers will be at the front! ;)
And a very important note - NOBODY IS TO RIDE THEIR BIKE ON THE TRACK DURING LUNCH TIME
