You don't know how LUCKY you are if you're in Ireland - pure road racing is such a buzz to be around - free adrenaline - If you've never been - all you GJ's in the mainland - book a cheap weekend flight - take your lid and hitch from the airport road. Did that for the NW200 last year WOW !

Kell is truly spectacular, just 30 mins up the road from me.
The jumps on the road are just breath taking.
Was sitting in the ditch around where the bikes land on the main jump on the front straight. Amazing to watch all the classes but then the first superbike race!!!
Guy Martin comes around the first lap inches away from Cameron Donald. Guy gets a hugh tank slapper when he lands....two feet on the ground, sitting on the tank, found it hard to breath watching this fireblade going past me at over 130mph going from lock to lock......
Did he fall - no, recovered well just befor ethe hairpin without loosing to much time. Thought he would stop to change his jocks, but no second lap still going, expecting him to back off for the jump......not GM, hit's it harder this time.....and guess what another 300Meter tank slapper from lock to lock, feet onm the ground.
Thought this lad has a death wish and will back off for the next lap......wrong again this time slightly different line and 100% committed, spectacular jump and gets the perfect landing...goes on to finish second I think. What a race.....
Saw GM in the pits afterwards looking reved up, could not believe how committed he is...
Superhuman performance put in by all racers and organisers to run this event, well worth the spin over, less than an hour from Dublin.
Those memories are still with me, watching this just three meters away from the action. :worship:

roadracing.... fantastic stuff. was at the NW in 2001 and loved it - hats off to fellas riding on damp public roads 30 minutes after road traffic's been plodding along with all the debris and stuff. nearly made it to the TT last year, but the EX put a stop to it... not any more - will be at this years NW and looking forward to it. why-o-why can we not have more here?

good post :ws:

Mid-Antrim 2005, Guy Martin and Ryan Farquhar coming over the start finish line side by side, made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck! You can't explain what it looks like to anyone who has never seen a roadrace
