View Full Version : Entrance to Donny. PLEASE READ.
As some people will know there are two entrances into the circuit but the only one that will be open for us is the main entrance which is well signposted.
If your riding your bike to the circuit tell the security guard (if your stopped) that your either riding on the track or attending the photo shoot.
DO NOT TELL THEM YOUR A SPECTATOR BECAUSE YOU'LL BE MADE TO PARK OUTSIDE AND YOU'LL HAVE TO WALK IN.
And if you are spectating and coming in a car or on your bike can you please park opposite the Pit Stop Dinner (canteen) which you'll see on your right as you come in, and NOT inside the paddock fence because this is for riders only.

When you say Main Entrance, I assume you dont mean the Paddock entrance?

A map might help ,,,,, ?
The Paddock entrance has been closed the last two times I've been for track days, coz they apparently get local gypsies trying to block the entrance then ask for money to move out of the way.
The main entrance has an enormous Donington Park sign. It's really quite hard to miss.
If you're coming off the M1, you will hit the main entrance first anyway.
If you're coming up the A42 I think there is a signpost when you get very near that says 'pits and paddock' or something, which actually takes you to the Paddock entrance. You just go a bit further up the road instead of turning off and the main entrance is then very easy to spot on the left.
^^^ what she said ;)
And here's the official Donny location map...

BUMP :D
Just incase anyone has missed it

Yea I'll go with that but the 3rd time I went which was last Friday :D, it was open so I thought I'd better mention it.
To much info can confuse people huh?
Oh, and the fun bit of course....If you do come in the main entrance and you are on your bike, be warned that there is a long loose gravel track to ride down to get to the paddocks. I was really nervous about dropping my bike the first time I rode down it! Just be careful and take it slow and you'll be fine though :(

I think there is someone at Donny with a twisted sense of humor, making bikes take the "main" entrance, then sending them down a gravel road.... Probably better to turn immediately right, across the front of the circuit office and pick-up the tarmac road there. Lets not have gravel rash BEFORE the day starts...
