would say the elizabeth or the holiday inn
elizabeth is the closer prob less than 1 mile and the holiday inn about 1.5
both plenty big enough for all

Elizabeth is cheaper than the holiday Inn, If we do a group buy we may get a discount!

If we get everyone who's staying over sunday night to show their interest then we can approach the hotel with a party booking.

Bit of inside knowledge here folks -

Cheap n simple are the Royal Hotel (best but basic) and George Hotel (cheap but OK on a budget) .

Both are right in Kettering town centre (approx. 10 mins from the circuit) with rear parking but BEST OF ALL they are next to the Red Rose Indian Nosh Spot which is excellent.

Pubs are just all very close and Cherry Tree is a good drinkers spot. Real ale house Alexandra Arms is also very very nice - approx. 5 mins walk/stagger away from red rose.

Other good nosh very close to above hotels is Lee gardens Chinky, Pizza Restaurant on corner just outside Royal Hotel plus several Italians in the town centre. Best kebabs are Flames on Rockingham Rd - worth the short walk.

DO NOT LEAVE BIKES OUTSIDE ON THE ROAD IN CORBY - THEY WILL DISAPPEAR!!!!

And remember to say "m'duck" when in Kettering and "I havena got anny monny or droogs" as you're mugged in Corby!

Funny Stuff:homer:

Funny stuff but very true. There is not a way in the world I'd leave my bike parked anywhere unattended in Corby....that includes big hotel car parks.
Things have even been known to walk from track days & race events at The Rock. Used to know a few of the NASCAR lads who raced there n stayed at the pub I worked at in Geddington, just down the road...... tools n spares used to walk on test & race days.

Keep ur vans locked n dont leave valuables lieing around. All common sense but unfortunately Corby (i know i'm doing an injustice to lots of people) is full o scrotes!

+1 on bikes dissapearing in corby, my mate parked his bike in a public car park and came back five mins later to find a couple of blokes ready to make off with it.

If anyones staying in Market Harborough, I can fit two bikes in my secure yard theres a few hotels in the town such as the Three Swans, I'm only 100m from the town and the towns about 10 mins ride from the Rock.

Does anyone know if theres a decent hotel/B&B which can offer GARAGED parking for bikes?

Planning to go up in a van on the Sunday and stay the night, dont care if the hire van gets nicked:lol: but its a different story if its got 3 bikes in it + kit.

I am going up with my mate and the bikes will be on a trailor so locked car park is must or a good campsite near by and sleep with them in the tent

Im going to be B&B'ing somewhere - Ive not sorted anywhere yet but i dont want to stay in Corby thats for sure - some average B&B / guest house country village up to 5 miles (ideally 3ish) would suit me just fine. Im sure there are loads of places available. Secure parking - or atleast safe looking is a must.

Im happy to look but some local help (as above but not Corby) would be cool..
