taken for realroadracing.com

McAdoo Kawasaki Racing would like to announce the team has parted company with rider Ryan Farquhar.

The team were not able to agree to Ryan’s financial demands and have decided to withdraw our support. Saturday’s North West 200 proved our machines are capable of running with any bikes in road racing and we would have loved to compete at the 2008 TT, but a line has to be drawn at some point.

Any announcements on our future in the sport will be made in due course

on realroadracing.com, to be honest I really like GJ but find the road racing doesn't get much of a following on here (and most forums) so thats the best place for all the news.

you have to register to get all the info but you can get some news without being a member.

on a different note it kinda dissapoints me really - you know yourself if it had been a star from moto gp or wsb etc that died in practice there would have been 1000's of mesages of support for the dunlop family, as opposed to a few - similar for Finnegan and I don't mean to rub people up the wrong way but what if god forbid it had been valentino or one of the others?

with you being from the north you get the following up there, whenever I visited my mum and dad in Cavan it was so close to a lot of the races you got the news/to see them etc,
but apart from BBC NI on sky there isn't the same coverage here -

my rants over and how superb was the NW! doen't get any closer than that!

I've been told that the split was over the allocation of start money. With no assurances of prize money, Ryan wanted to know he would be getting his living from somewhere.

Personally I think that these road racers deserve what ever the hell they want. After all they are the ones putting their necks on the line, more than most, when they go out on a bike.

Ryan has said he'll ride Kenny Harker's Superstock and Supersport Kawasaki's at the TT definately, and if he can get a Superbike he'll be out in the big races too.

+1 on that. Maybe the team simply had to make cut backs though. What exactly do the main sponsors do? They could be experiencing financial difficulies and didn't have any other choice rather than let him go

:wg: No disrespect meant, but it won't be that big a loss to see less of Farquar. He's past it now, just like Archie, and all he did was bloody moan - even when he won!
