back from the TT

well, just returned from the TT (early as bikes electrics decided to play up Wed afternoon onwards :-(

but what a superb time I had overall. Sat 1 day racing at the goosneck - glorious sunshine and superbikes and sidecars within 2ft of us.

Mon racing at the Creg, sat towards Kates cottage for the first race of the day and then moved to the exit of the bend for the 2nd race.
**** they were quick out of there - and close again within 2 or 3 ft of us - and then a tear off landed in my lap!

Wed at the start fin straight - wandering about the pits - saw a few racers (bloody camera went flat - typical!) but came home as I have commitments on Saturday and had to push the bike on the boat!

bit of banter in Parliament square on Mad sunday when ITV4 were there but it wasn't the best day for it though.

met Redils a couple of times early doors to get a lap or 2 in and then met up with Redils and Bucko and his mates for a blast - and had a great time. oh and bucko enjoyed his new triumph me thinks by the size of the grin on his face!

will post some pics when I get them from my mates camera but had a great time.
just unfortunate it wil be hightlights on the Tv tonight.

Sounds like a good time. I didnt go this year but some mates went and one had a lowside at the Gooseneck on a Repsol Blade, did you see it by any chance?

The best place I found to watch from was Rhencullen, bloody fast and you sit close too.

Nice one Jim glad you got home Ok, god only knows how fast you would be on your own on that bike? I couldn`t shake you off on the raod section, Had graham a unoffical TT race ourselves,let him tell you the outcome,
Must say the speed triple was awesome to ride and put a massive smile on my face all week, I would have loved to have had the gsxr for those 6.30am blasts up the mountain, only place anyone came past me once the triple ran out of steam at 145.
I can`t wait to get back next year, I`ll be booking it as soon as I get the cash together.

sound mate - yea would have loved a rip with you without a pillion - you said I would kill it and it bloody died on me!

I went out on my own before the electrics cut out -bike bottomed out, rose over a crest and tried to brake - forgot they dont work when the wheels aren't on the ground! how they do it going at least 50mph faster god only knows. maximum respect for them boys!

will get out for a blast with you over here, defo going again next yr but bringing a van this time - easier in the long run.

glad the speed triple went well - tell your made up with it.

next yr then gixerjunkies unofficial TT? just let me know what time suits LOL.

How depressing is coming home? God i found it awful, and this was my first TT. Gotta say my review is about the same as yours. Everything was just astounding. Best part for me was blasting around the mountain but closely followed by sitting on the embankment at glen whilst they came passed at 160 a foot away. AWSOME. Roll on 09!
