I recorded the whole of that session and 2 others in the afternoon, thankfully no one was rude enough to overtake me whilst I had the cam on so I can bore everyone with all of it if at some point :lol:

yeh thats me - although to be pedantic its actually very a dark BMW blue as that was the spray cans I had hanging around when I sprayed the track fairing :lol:

Ideal, I like the rear facing view. I can spot myself on that one from about 9mins for a bit.

Still have the fear of crackin the gas on the thou when cranked over....seem to be more point n squirt than me old 750.
I've got about four sessions worth that I'll try and break down this week. On nights tonight and tomorrow so it'll be Thgursday before I get around to it. Having viewed it I know there's a good bit of Jason, Scotty and Zuki.

ideal - I did try to get some decent footage of scotty when he was a couple of bikes in front of me in the line up for one of the sessions, apart from making me ponder the benefits of maybe getting some tyre warmers (I usually do a nice sedate two lap tyre warm up) he is definately not the easiest person to keep a vid cam on as (apart from going along at a fair old rate) he cuts through traffic so efficiently. I'll upload that one soon.
who was on the SRAD complete with numberplate who seemed to be out in a couple of the morning sessions but not in the afternoon? The bloke was absolutely hammering it along - out braked me with ease, impressive watching his back wheel slide sideways into the corner. Had a very brief go at staying with him but on the basis that "a mans got to know his limitations" I just had to watch him pull away from me.
If it was the white and yellow one with a #34 on it was G-man. I had him tipped for an excursion to the med centre at some stage when he slid under me into the right at the top of the hill. Credit to him though, he can ride a bike.

In most sessions I ran front and rear footage but when you do pic in pic it runs the file size to over a Gb :HB:

im on the end of that vid - Still not having a clue which way the circuit goes!

Ok here is another - annoyingly dark, its the first 6 minutes of the first vid I posted at the start of this thread.
but it might be of interest to a someone as its me chasing scottyh...
I pull out behind zuki, scotty is the bike in front of zuki I follow zuki for a bit then then when scotty starts moving through the field I follow. My intention was to get up on his back wheel and film him for a bit. This was easier said then done at the rate he overtakes, and with the dark footage it means you have to keep your eye on him as he is overtaking constantly and often pulling away from me. I catch right up to his back wheel at 4:05 on the vid but almost immediatly after, going into the lefthanders leading into gracelands, I get stuck behind someone who is difficult to put a clean pass on through that entire section. Thats pretty much the last you can see of him, apparantly he pulled off early for fuel, either that or he really did decide to start shifting as one moment he there next he wasnt!
Anyway it highlights a couple of things...watch how he does the first section of oval banking and in particular the chicane exiting it to bring you onto the next bit of oval. He is miles faster than me through that chicane. I then close him down on the end of the second bit of oval banking braking for the sharp infield entrance and the sharp corners and hairpin on the infield. Then everything I make up is lost again as we exit back onto the oval...

I think that a lot of people were tucked in behind fast riders in the morning without really comprehending the pace and a few people realised the hard way the pace was hotter than they thought.
Equally, that first right hander of the infield is notorious for crashes, both high and low sides.
All good fun though :D
our 10 red flags was still two adrift of their all time record, so we will forever be the nearly men (and women).... its a shame because we got so close so quickly, surely it wouldnt have been to much effort to squeeze in another 3 before the "stop crashing you morons" lunchtime debrief :lol:

Ok, I've struggled sleeping after my first night shift back so I've converted all my video files for editing and uploading. This one is from the fourth session. Now it's 10:06 mins so You Tube might not have uploaded it correctly and have the hump because it goes over the 10:00mins. So bare with me if it does and I'll edit it to cut out the naughty 6 secs!

You could see that I was having trouble with that long left hander cos you could pull back the bit I gained through the part of the track I felt I had sorted.
Tell me my passing was clean cos what feels clean to me might not be so clean for the other person being passed. :blush:
Nice riding by the way Jason and it's such a shame we didn't get out together properly because you and I are very similar pace on the road and I don't think there would be much in it on track and we could of helped each other on the bits we were slower on.

I get a look in at about 11.05 on the hairpin when you (and the two bikes in front of you) run to wide which is what loads of people seemed to be doing.
I dont doubt that someone somewhere can muller it around on the outside line but Im convinced most people make that hairpin wider than it needs to be, load the front wheel and hug the kerbing. its probably the easiest place on that track to overtake people if you can keep to the kerbing.

That was the same as me at Donington. Shot about 14Gb of footage of everyone else but ended up on zero footage from anyone else from the track but one brif glimpse rolling out of garage :lol:
