Hi folks, was hoping to have some cracking footage to post but sadly I binned it.
Didnt put my camera on for the first 3 sessions then stuck it on for the 4th, probably a bad omen lol
Anyhoo, last lap of the session as it turned out, coming round Barn onto the Start/Finish straight and a combination of too low, too fast(possibly) and too fookin heavy handed with the throttle.....like I say cant blame anyone but myself, luckilly I slid very gracefully away from the bike, sat upright most of the time ended up on the grass rolling over a few times while watching the bike flip over in the air.
Luckilly the R&G saved the day, didnt bend just ground down but thats what caused it to flip when it hit the grass, with no R&G's it would almost certainly have damaged the frame so I cant complain. By some miracle apart from the screen cracking, right hand clip on bend, slightly ground exhaust and a few other grazed nothing is hurt. Both rearsets even remained unscathed.
Leathers took a beating but at least they have the "used" look now.

Funniest thing is earlier on in the session a guy on an 06 Blade smacked straight into me on the back straight, then came up to me after the session and blamed me!!! I think this vid clearly shows I wasnt in the wrong! lol

All in all a good day despite the accident, suppose an accident was inevitable the more confident I got without the experience to back it up.

Nooooo! Damn shame to hear you came off, but glad you had a great time. Good little vids there. Bloody Honda riders! never there fault eh?! psh!
Main thing is you and bike are ok :D,,,(bloody honda poo riders they think they own the roads n tracks;))

Was the last lap of the session mate, more like soft tyre and ham fisted power delivery lol
That corner is notorious for being a bit slippy,at least you walked away!
Good to hear you are ok fella and damage to bike dont look too bad so a lucky escape all round i would say

No it was yesterday :)
ahh, just last friday [torrential rain too] someone binned it on the hair pin...oil all over the track, was ok for a while, you could take your line round it, but the rain washed it further and further across the track, and you almost ended up dirt tracking round it :S x

Welcome to the off at cadwell club mate, glad your ok though and judging by the footage the bike did well not to get more damage than it did eh!!!

That did seem a bit of a ******* of a corner. Never went full pelt round there as it seemed to be where most people come off.
I fecking hate that plastic meeting tarmac sound.
Seems its a popular track to crash at. As said, at least it wasnt too bad. In all fairness you were passing the boy on the blade and you can sort of see why he may have been pissed off but you didnt seem to do much wrong. Thats the only thing I didnt like about the track, not a lot of good passing places for the 600's against the 1000's.

Not sure what you mean mate? You can clearly see on the vid I pass a CBR600RR then nail in down the straight, there was nothing in between the CBR and the bikes way off in the distance, the Blade caught me up and then moved over into me.
Believe me I wish I was able to catch a Blade up be it on the power or on the brakes lol Sadly my 600 with my lardy arse on it is no match lol

just managed to watch the video, thats some crystal clear footage mate .. did the camera survive or is it dead ? looks like it took some abuse

Well it recorded right till the end when the camera was jolted into the off position so I expected it to work.
Unscrewed the casing and removed the innards and it all looks OK but I cant get a signal from the bullet cam. Not sure if I was tired or missing the obvious but it doesnt seem to work.
Gonna play about with it a bit more to see whats what but I'm assuming its suffered shock damage.

Unlucky mate. I'm pretty sure that I have the OE screen from my old 600k1 in the garage somewhere if you want it? Don't want anything for it, just cover P&P and it's yours if it helps out.

Thanks mate, may take you up on that, got a spare one but im buggered if I can find it! lol
Just need a new track fairing now, brake off where it meets the screen and broke both mouting recesses on the belly pan.

I thought the CBR 600 you passed was the the blade. Totally see your point now. Good luck with the repairs!!

wadda you mean on a track like cadwell a good ole gixxer 6 will nab a blades gonads anyday of the week :b16:
did rockingham natinal on monday and was having the thou's for breakfast once it dried out a bit glad your ok though i'll rummage in me parts bin see if i've got anything that might be of use to you
