anyone hiring tyre warmers on the day? never used them before but thinking they might be worth while, saving time of trying to heat tyres up seeing as it is only 20min sessions.

i was going to cadwell to catch up with everyone and if my bike was ok i would have went on to try it but if it wasnt then i wasnt going to change everything.

I've got standard headers, Scorpion non-road can and K&N on my K1 600 and it's currently 102db.
You'll have to hold it at 7,000 while they test it

;);)Pikeymikey 26, your first track day, no disrespect, but def novice group, Cadwell is a very technical track, some very fast corners, and a very tight technical section before start and Finnish straight its nothing to be ashamed of, trust me, that's why there is a novice group to give you chance to learn the track, it was my first time at Cadwell on the 7-9-2009, and I am glad I went in the novice group even though I have done quit a few track days, if I can get a entry for the 5-10-2009 I'll see you in the novice group, ;) :).
if your good in the noddy's and are running a good pace you could get upgraded after lunch anyroad..
just go in the noddys, get a feel for it, learn the track on warm tyres and see how you get on.
there is a famous saying about walking before you run..
TBH you get plenty of heroes in inters, fast riders that want to overtake so they put themselves in the inters..
Novce is far safer for your first track day
if your good in the noddy's and are running a good pace you could get upgraded after lunch anyroad..

They do tend to do a fairly decent pace, but also they tend to shorten your first session, and increase one of your other sessions where you can overtake.
Or just move to inters ;)

Pretty dear tho , but there is a Morissons in town
Or if you are in Louth at 7am , there is a lil cafe open near the bus station

If anyone is leaving there bikes out tonight or tomorrow getting them ready for mondays track day please be aware there is pikeys about, had 3 turn up round mine looking very suspicious in a white van. I thought they just wanted to tarmac my drive but seemed more interested in the bike. Didnt get there reg plate but if you see three scruffy looking pikeys cruising your neighbourhood in a white van dont take any chances and call the police straight away. I did try and talk to them and ask what they where up to but he sounded like he was speaking gaelic or something and I couldnt understand him, the ring leader sounded like a cross between rab c nesbitt and father ted but on helium and speed.

They are Motorsport Vision, I think all their circuits require to see your licence. Mallory don't require it. I;m sure when I was there in August the conversation went along the lines of all MSV circuits require licence.

ive just looked on MV web site and it says that if you cant produce you licence for some reason they can call the DVLA to check...
