Hi guys I just thought I would share my hobby with ya.

In my spare time i work for www.phaseone.co.uk world endurance racing team.

We are one of the most successful teams going and have won the world championship 3 times beating factory teams in the proccess.

We finnished 17th overall at this years Suzuka 8hour and are running 3rd and 10th in the championship with just the Bol dor 24hr to do.

The Bol Dor is this coming weekend so I am off to France tomorrow.

And before ya say anything Yes I know they are Yamahas but we won the world championship in 2003 on a GSXR 1000.

So you got a Yam and you haven't won, but when you had a Gixer you did - this tell you something!!!

Hehehe

We stopped using GSXR's after we won the world championship for them and they returned the favour by not giving us any support !

So instepped Yamaha with support !

But we found out alot in the first year like the yam was around 20% heavier on Fuel !

But we still punch above our wheight !

The Yam motor is an SP motor with head work done e,g skimmed and flowed with titanium Valves and high lift cams. add that with Akrapovic system and power commander we have seen 180 bhp at rear wheel !

Still it's hard work but great fun.

I'm sure I saw an advert for the Bol D'or on TV the other day - Is that right?

Pardon my ignorance but I'd never heard of it before. Best of luck to you and the lads though, I'm sure you work extremely hard.

Eurosport should be showing the start at 2pm on sat and finnish at 2pm on Sunday, they might even show some in between.

If you have never been to the Le mann or the Bol Dor then get over there next year as seeing these riders riding as hard at night as they do during the day is an awsome sight.

Give Mr Giles a kick from me, he was meant to be showing me the way round the Nurburgring - although he's never been before, I told him that he was allowed one sighting lap and then I would try and stay on his tail before he would sod off into the distance.

Not seen him for a bit, how did he do in his exams at Uni?
