Relentless Suzuki's Cameron Donald has been airlifted to hospital with a dislocated shoulder and a chipped vertebrae after a crash at Keppel Gate. The Aussie was riding his Superstock GSX-R1000 at the time of the accident and his injuries will rule him out of any further participation.
Donald sensationally set the fastest ever lap of the Mountain Course last night at 131.457mph. We will bring you updates on Donald's condition as soon as we have them.
Elsewhere on the circuit, no further fastest laps were set on Superbikes but Guy Martin was quickest this evening on the Hydrex Honda, lapping at 129.013mph, which was just shy of his best from yesterday.

Gary Johnson was second fastest on a 127.794mph lap with Manxman Conor Cummins in third on a 126.588 and Ian Hutchison fourth from a standing start at 127.328mph.

William Dunlop set the fastest Supersport lap with a 123.345 which was two miles an hour slower than his brother Michael's lap from last night. Scotsman Keith Amor was second, from a standing start, on a 121.494 and John McGuinness third, lapping at 121.428.

HM Plant Honda's Steve Plater set the quickest Superstock lap of practice week, taking his Fireblade round in 126.938 which knocks Hutchinson off the top of the leaderboard. Hutchinson was second quickest tonight from a standing start on a 125.774 with that man Amor again in third on 125.201, again from a standing start.

Newcomer Steve Mercer has broken the magic 120mph barrier with a 120.336mph lap while Ben Wylie upped his fastest lap to just over 119mph. Jenny Tinmouth broke the 110mph lap this evening on her Honda, lapping at 110.503mph.

Awww man, that is bad news. I was watching him on the telly (ITV 4+1) as i read this.

Hope it's only a minor thing and doesn't keep him out of road racing for too long. There's always next year i suppose.

Bruce is still there to keep up the Gixer reputation at TT.

The rider who unofficially smashed the absolute lap record for the Mountain Circuit on Thursday evening looks to have crashed out of TT 2009.

Australian Cameron Donald came off his Superstock machine at Keppel Gate in last night's final practice session, injuring a shoulder.

He was taken to Noble's hospital by helicopter and, according to the official TT media release on the qualifying session, "is now expected to miss all five solo races".

The media release doesn't say whether Donald was detained in hospital, but it does describe his injuries as minor.

Donald's extraordinary lap at 131.457 miles an hour looked to have set up a fascinating battle with official absolute lap record holder John McGuinness, who was the second fastest man in qualifying.

However, it now seems that won't be happening.

taken from max radio tt website, and todays racing is cancelled, a decision will be made at 12:00 if it is to be tomm
