Casey Stoner has joined Ducati in 2007, leaving Sete Gibernau looking for a ride. Other rides confirmed today are that Carlos Checa will replace Stoner on the LCR Honda in 2007.

Toni Elias's amazing win at the weekend seems to have secured his position for next year with the Gresini Honda team. This however, seems to close the door on any hopes Leon Haslam had of joining the team. I also believe that this was the ride that Barros wanted, having turned down offers from Ducati, Honda and Suzuki in WSBK!

This thus leaves only the following rides available for 2007:-

1 seat at Kawasaki (to replace Nakano), which Sete has already turned down!
2 seats at D'Antin Ducati (now on Bridgestones)
2 seats at Ilmor
2 seats at Yamaha Tech 3

Wow Stoner on a Duke, if he keeps it up that'll be one fast machine to deal with!

stoner is the new breed and is also small build for the likes of the new 800cc. will be good for him to have someone with the experience of capirossi on his team. lets hope he kicks some pedrobot ass next year.

probably have been a different story if they were on summat with more financial backing

see, brits aren't afforded the luxury of a big budget team
