According to the media in Italy, Carl Fogarty is close to agreeing to run two MV Agusta's in next years World Superbike Championship for Superstock riders Luca Scassa and Ayrton Badovini!

No MV's do come as 1000's.
Scassa and co. are running F4 1000R's in Superstocks this year.
Whether they can cut it in Superbikes remains to be seen.
Strange choice for Foggy when he said he wanted only proven race winning bikes to carry on in wsb!

It is probably MV saying who he must have as riders (i.e. ITALIANS!) if he is to run their bikes!

Should be interesting, they have been impressive in superstock this year although Scassa was disqualified for illegal telemetry recently after he won the penultimate race. The Castiglioni's who own MV and Foggy go back along way too
I'm not a big Foggy fan, think he was a great rider, but his antics when he first came into management really put me off him. (Saying that he seems a lot more restrained now). But if this is true then I wish him the best of luck.
The F4 is a competative machine that will develope well, unlike the FP3 he's been struggling with for the last 5 years.

I am now reading on the same Italian site that the deal is now dead. Appparently, MV cannot come up with the amount of money needed to go racing as Foggy is still without a title sponsor.
MV will continue in the Superstock series in 2007 with Ayrton Badovini.
Where does this leave Foggy then?! It is looking bleak.
