session just before lunch - dryest session of the day.
My only filmed session as I didnt bother flicking it on in the wet/damp sessions. (shame because I could have caught my idiotic crash)
quite a few bikes in this one at various points
Anyway starts with scottyh commenting on some clown on an R1 dumping his coolant in the pitlane :lol: and ends with him just as we pull in. I spend most of it chasing Scotty through the field, what the forward facing vid doesnt show is him riding on my rear wheel and to my side on the last few laps
really great fun bit of dicing, good following scottyh as we have quite different riding styles and he always rides like he is in a hurry to get somewhere :lol:
the no overtaking in between the cones in the chicane dividing the oval sections is slightly irritating at times as some times you have to queue behind bikes going through it. Although I understand why they have done it and it doesnt detract that much.

bollocks fecking youtube has chopped the last couple laps of it....I'll endeavour to sort it out later and get the full thing up with the final couple laps in....cant upload to google vids anymore....any other suggestions for longer than 10 minute vids just for completeness?

i take it you ride a thou? (sounds like most of rocky was in 1 gear)? ive never been there so wouldnt know?
i did laugh when he kept you at pit lane exit for ages while everyone else disappeared, only to catch and pass most of them within half a lap. :lol:
Fook Jason you were on one, very good riding there mate.
Someone off here really surprised me, someone who looked 100% natural on the bike, and who's body position would be something to strive for as it just looks berfect.... Step forward Zuki :) A) couldnt beleive how bloody tall she is lol and B) Jeezuz she dont hang about and out of everyone I saw her position on the bike looked the most natural. Scott was also damn f'in fast and everyone I was with commented on the speed of the fast group (most of them), impresseive ;)
Only thing is, and I dont want to speak out of turn here, but why the fook was a slow supermoto in the fast group? Yeah the guy might have been a legend but his bike looked like a moving chicane for everyone else? Maybe I'm wrong but thats what it looked like to me...
Maybe one day I'll be mixing it with you guys :)

on stock gearing, on a largely stock K7 thou....
first three corners of the infield coming off the oval all 2nd hook into 3rd for the lefts through to gracelands down to 2nd for hairpin and chicane back onto oval hit 4th on the first oval section ....2nd or third through the chicane depending on how much you like to rev the tits off your bike ... back out onto the oval banking and you can hook 4th if you have the nerve..but you really are royally mullering it along then repeat
thats how I do it anyway its probably not the textbook way
its a bloody fantastic track as its so varied.

zuki is a very smooth rider, good person to follow around as she has a real textbook like approach to things (or thats how it looks to me anyway), much better than me (as I think have a more variable aproach to things and have a habit of taking unusual lines or turning in unnecassarally tight - I think thats because I have a Motocross background - the excuse I always use :lol: ). She is similarly impressive on the roads.
there where two or three bikes running way to slow - the guy on the supermoto wasnt just painfully slow he was often all over the place so you had to take extra caution when overtaking him , their chioce mind but I dont know how anyone can have any fun having bikes constantly blowing past you without relent. I guess he likes walking around the paddock with a red band on his wrist?
its no big thing being in the fast group... stick at it and thats the group you end up in. It doesnt really matter what group you are in mind we are all in the same boat..faster than some...slower than others.

I put them on Facebook because you can load up to 20 minutes and they do not compress them so much.

I like to think my braking's fairly good but your a demon Jase.
I'm sure you would of caught me quicker if it wasn't for all the traffic and when you did come past me you really helped me up my pace because I had someone to chase which really was good fun and the funniest thing was that on the odd occasion you looked over your shoulder I was about a foot of your back wheel and on the opposite side to where you were looking.
I was giggling to myself inbetween gasping for air and thinking, "he doesn't know I'm here and he'll cack his pants if I pass him now cos he thinks he's on his own" but I couldn't find a safe way pass you.:lol:
Some of the passes we both make through the traffic look a little committed but they don't feel it at the time. :D

there are a couple of bumps and dips, but nothing too bad apart from the 1st hairpin! There is fooking great dip right on the apex :lol:
yeh big dip in the middle of the first hairpin coming off the oval but you can ride around that one, or if you go through it it aint to bad.
worst dip is 2 corners after that just after the right hander before the left section taking you to gracelands. its nasty enough to have you off I reckon as you are accelerating out on the lean as you hit it - you have to slightly back off for it....looking at one of the inters vids it looks like it caught at least one person out.
other than that its pretty smooth.

yes your right I probably would have jumped if youd suddenly appeared alongsde in one of the tighter corners after Id looked over the wrong shoulder sensing you where on my tail but didnt see you - i thought not seeing you was a bit odd so I checked again I think a couple corners later and still looked over the wrong shoulder :fool: ! Its strange how you can sense when someones on your back wheel even though you cant see or hear them.

Unfortunately I was the "Clown" dumping my coolant on the pit lane :( They kept us waiting for ages and my little R6 with no fan just gave up the ghost! :(
