No-where. The best I've been able to find is insurance for mechanical failure, but nothing else, and that was an added £200 to my normal insurance. I don't think you're gonna find it, and why would you bother?

It's gotta be easier to find another way to cliaim if you bin it mate. Personally, I figure if you're gonna do track days, you're gonna bin it sooner or later, so just suck it up an take your lumps.

If you can't do that, don't track it.

I opted for spending £250 and getting complete track fairing and a spare tank/pump off ebay, oh and a screen and front bracket, so no more than £300 spent n it helps make you so much more relaxed... or get yourself a track bike ;) there's a few going on here I think

You would have to be bit unlucky to do a trackday and then fall off on the way home:lol:

Ummm I think you'd be lucky to convince your insurer that you'd managed a track day and then binned it coming out the exit ;) no matter how many witnesses you had

You might get away with it if you track your bike in all the road kit, otherwise you'd have some explaining to do!

I'm with Tweek, get some cheap race fairings and either a tank or a fibreglass cover for your tank, some crash bungs, engine protection and solid footpegs and your good to go.

Trackday bodywork is the way to go deffo...

But in my humble opinion the chances of falling of are greater on the road anyway.

True you can go faster on track, but then there's no deisel/dodgy surfaces/blind drivers/wayward pedestrians to run into either.

At the end of the day its a motorbike - not a thing to be wrapped in cotton wool and protected forever.
If it gets broken - fix it

MCN insurance was offering track day insurance as a bolt on to your road policy... it was quite reasonable too although the policy price itself was on the high side.

Something to look at come renewal time if you're worried about taking your road bike on the track.

These folks do single day track insurance http://www.pitandpaddock.com/ ... they quoted me last year but the price was so high I hired a bike instead. Even if I totalled the hire bike and lost my excess the cost wouldn't have amounted to the premium wanted to insure my road bike....

After that I decided to be done with it and bought a track bike instead :bike1:
