I was told there's no such thing as a stupid question.... but I've got a feeling these might come close...

How does the camping work at Cadwell?

Who do you organise it with, or do you just turn up?

Does it cost, who do I pay?

Does it have a last in time?

Is Cadwell Paddock really just a field?

I've booked my 1st outing at Cadwell for the 4th, but I'll be coming up from London probably 10-11pm the night before. Bit skint so thought I'd camp to keep the costs down. Only done the southern tracks so far, but Cadwell's a bit far to drive in the morning ( I don't do 4am).

(I assume there's toilets/water etc available)

Lorenzo wins US GP, Pedrosa falls from lead
Jorge Lorenzo will head for the MotoGP summer break with a huge 72 point title lead after victory in the US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca on Sunday.

The Fiat Yamaha rider claimed his sixth win from nine races after nearest title rival Dani Pedrosa crashed out of the lead on lap 12 of 32, just as Lorenzo was beginning to put the Repsol Honda rider under pressure.

Pedrosa had shot from fourth on the grid to first with a brave outside-line over the crest into the turn two hairpin, with Lorenzo in third behind Ducati's Casey Stoner by the end of the first lap.

Stoner surrendered second to Lorenzo when he ran wide on lap six, just as Pedrosa looked in danger of breaking clear at the front.

Lorenzo then began to claw time back from his fellow Spaniard, and was 0.6sec behind when Pedrosa saw his hopes of victory end in a cloud of dust after a lowside fall.

The accident marked Pedrosa's first non-finish of the year and has at least delayed his hopes of scoring three wins in one season for the very first time in MotoGP. Pedrosa will have plenty more chances to do that, but the title damage may prove irreparable.

Thereafter, Lorenzo slowly edged away from Stoner - who backed off after several front-end scares - to win by 3.517sec.

The #99 celebrated by changing into a NASA-type spacesuit and doing a mock moonwalk before planting his Lorenzo Land flag at the top of the corkscrew.

The only hiccup for Lorenzo on Sunday happened when the Italian anthem was initially played on the podium instead of the Spanish anthem!

It wasn't entirely inappropriate, since there was one very famous Italian on the podium in the form of Valentino Rossi.

The Italian legend returned to the podium just seven weeks after breaking his leg at Mugello after catching and overtaking Pedrosa's team-mate Andrea Dovizioso.

The battle went right to the final turn, when Dovi ran wide after a last-gasp attempt to reclaim third.

That mistake almost handed fourth place to top American Nicky Hayden, who crossed the line less than half a second from Dovizioso.

Another American, rookie Ben Spies, got an electric start and followed Pedrosa through from the second row to hold a threatening fourth place in the opening laps.

However, an unseen moment on lap three dropped the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider back to seventh.

Spies then worked his way forwards and took fifth from Hayden on lap 21 and was setting himself up for a move on Rossi (then in fourth) when he dropped back behind Hayden once again on lap 25.

Spies was visibly frustrated as he returned to the pits after finishing in sixth.

One place, but 20 seconds, behind Spies was team-mate Colin Edwards, with Marco Melandri (Gresini Honda), Mika Kallio (Pramac Ducati) and Loris Capirossi (Rizla Suzuki) completing the top ten.

Roger Lee Hayden, replacing the injured Randy de Puniet at LCR Honda, finished his first MotoGP race since Laguna Seca 2007 in eleventh place - as he and fellow stand-in Alex de Angelis (Interwetten Honda) fought to the flag to avoid being last.

Joining Pedrosa on the DNF list were Laguna Seca rookies Alvaro Bautista (Rizla Suzuki), Hector Barbara (Aspar Ducati), Marco Simoncelli (Gresini Honda) and Aleix Espargaro (Pramac Ducati). All fell except Barbera who looked to suffer a technical problem.

A two-weekend summer break will now take place under round ten of 18, at Brno in the Czech Republic, is held on August 13-15. Rossi is set to confirm his future plans at that event, which is immediately followed by the second and final day of in-season testing.

Race results from the German MotoGP, round eight of the 2010 world championship.

The race was stopped after nine complete laps due to a fiery three-bike accident involving ninth-place Randy de Puniet, Pramac Ducati's Aleix Espargaro and Rizla Suzuki's Alvaro Bautista.

de Puniet has fractured his left leg.

The restart was held over 21 laps with the starting order at the end of lap nine.

Reigning seven time MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi was making his return to MotoGP action this weekend, after missing the last four races due to a broken right leg.

Alex de Angelis also returned to MotoGP this weekend, in place of the injured Hiroshi Aoyama at Interwetten Honda...

Pedrosa wins restarted German MotoGP

Dani Pedrosa has taken his second victory of the 2010 MotoGP season during a restarted German Grand Prix at Sachsenring.

The Repsol Honda rider had been a close second to world championship leader Jorge Lorenzo when the race was stopped on lap ten of 27, after a fiery accident involving Randy de Puniet (LCR Honda), Aleix Espargaro (Pramac Ducati) and Alvaro Bautista (Rizla Suzuki).

de Puniet was subsequently diagnosed with a broken left leg, and all three were unable to make the restart as rules require a rider to be back in the pits, with their bike, within five minutes of the red flag.

Tech 3's Colin Edwards fell before the stoppage and so the restart, over 21 laps, began with just 13 riders, lined up in the order they had been at the end of lap nine.

Espargaro's team-mate Mika Kallio then fell at the first turn, but the others all made it around safely, with Pedrosa leading the way from Lorenzo, Andrea Dovizioso, Casey Stoner, Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi.

As he had in the first start, Lorenzo passed Pedrosa into the penultimate left-hand turn at the bottom of the hill, on lap two, but couldn't shake-off the RCV rider.

The pair gradually broke clear of the field and Pedrosa became ever more threatening until he dived inside Lorenzo into turn one at the start of lap nine.

It didn't work, he ran wide and Lorenzo regained the advantage, but he perfected the move next time around and then inched away from the Fiat Yamaha rider to claim a 3.355sec victory.

Pedrosa, who began the race 52 points behind Lorenzo, is now 47 points behind heading into next weekend's US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca.

Pedrosa's team-mate Dovizioso only held third for a handful of laps, before Stoner and then Rossi moved ahead of him.

Rossi, making a surprise return to race action just six weeks after a broken leg - compared with the five months predicted by doctors for a full recovery - slowly gained ground on Stoner and made the first of many attempts to claim a comeback podium on lap 13.

Rossi and Stoner remained locked together for the rest of the race, passing and re-passing each other until Stoner stung Rossi with a block-pass into the last corner, on the very last lap.

It must have been especially frustrating for Rossi, since he lost the 2003 race at the exact same turn to Sete Gibernau.

Eleven seconds behind Rossi, Dovizioso collected fifth position after a spirited battle with top rookie Marco Simoncelli (Honda Gresini), with Americans Nicky Hayden (Ducati) and Ben Spies (Tech 3 Yamaha) seventh and eighth.

The remaining four riders were Hector Barbera (Aspar Ducati), who couldn't sustain his best grid position of sixth, Marco Melandri (Honda Gresini), Loris Capirossi (Rizla Suzuki) and Alex de Angelis (Interwetten Honda).

de Angelis was riding in his first MotoGP race since Valencia 2009 and finished just 0.162sec behind Capirossi.

Honda riders win, but Hill retakes title lead

Josh Brookes was denied a hat-trick of wins by a machine problem in the third race of the seventh round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Snetterton.

That DNF also cost the Aussie the lead in the title stakes as Tommy Hill, second to Ryuichi Kiyonari, regained the advantage by two points.

Brookes had won the opening race, held over from the weather ravaged Knockhill round, on Saturday afternoon with a last lap move on his HM Plant Honda team-mate Kiyonari with Hill, riding the Worx Crescent Suzuki, running third from the RidersMotorcycles.com Ducati of Michael Rutter.

Then, despite having come out on top in the Swan Combi Roll for Pole, Brookes made life difficult for himself with a sluggish start from the front of the grid in the first of the two Sunday afternoon races, to be running sixth on an opening lap led by Rutter from Hill with Kiyonari third from Michael Laverty on the Relentless Suzuki and Swan Honda's James Ellison.

Brookes was gaining places to be running third on the fourth lap, but by then Kiyonari had pulled out with a machine problem, leaving the front running duel to Rutter and Hill, but they were soon feeling the heat from the determined Brookes.

He moved second on the seventh lap and took Rutter a further seven laps into the race as he slowed with a gear shift problem. Alastair Seeley and Ellison ran ahead of Hill with Ellison showing his Brands Hatch opening round form, prior to the tumble at Thruxton in which he sustained a broken leg soon going second.

Hill attacked Ellison, going through to take second place as Brookes completed his second win, reflecting: “I messed up the start and had to work for it but was comfortable with the passes. It was a shame that some of the others had mechanical problems but I am sure that I could have taken them.”

Ellison, fourth in that race, made a great start to the final race, heading off Brookes with Michael Laverty third from Kiyonari and Hill, but soon Kiyonari was running third and harassing his team-mate, moving ahead of him on the seventh lap and two laps later taking the lead from Ellison.

Ellison strayed off-line and Brookes nipped into second place, but not for long before he was sidelined by a machine problem. Kiyonari was leading from Michael Laverty with Rutter third as the Safety Car was deployed as Ellison crashed in a tangle with Seeley.

Kiyonari duly completed his fourth win of the season, and his sixth at the circuit, finishing half a second clear of Hill who had finally found a way ahead of Michael Laverty with three laps remaining.

For Hill second best was good enough, putting him back on top in the title stakes and he reflected: “We've re-grouped, gelled back and come out fighting. Now we are back to where we need to be, and where we should be.

“The team have worked hard, we've had out ups and downs and problems along the way but these three podiums show were are back. The final race here was tough, but halfway through I clawed them in, and felt comfortable,” he added.

Steve Brogan, riding Jentin BMW won all three Mirror.co.uk BSB-EVO class races and that put the Liverpudlian back ahead in the title chase 246-241 over Hudson Kennaugh who having switched to riding Splitlath Aprilia took a fifth and two third places.

Moto2: Elias hunts down Iannone for German win

Toni Elias has become the first ever triple Moto2 race winner after hunting down Andrea Iannone during an eleventh-to-first charge at the Sachsenring on Sunday.

On pole for the third race in a row, Iannone tucked in behind Fimmco Speedup team-mate Gabor Talmacsi on lap one, took the lead on lap two and looked set to claim his third race win.

But title leader Elias, who had finished the first lap in eleventh, put in a determined ride - aided by accidents for Julian Simon and Alex Debon ahead of him - to reach third place by the halfway mark.

Elias and JiR's Simone Corsi, just behind him, then proved to be the quickest riders on track and had both blasted past Talmacsi with ten laps to go, with Iannone and the race lead just 2.4sec ahead.

Corsi then crashed out of third ending his hopes for a third podium of the season, and leaving a straight Iannone/Elias victory fight.

Elias was within striking distance of the green machine with six laps to go, and took the very first opportunity to pass, diving inside Iannone at turn one.

Iannone attempted to retaliate at the bottom of the hill, but Elias simply had more speed and was able to gain comfortable breathing room in the closing stages.

The Moriwaki Gresini rider began round eight with a 17 point lead over Thomas Luthi, but the Swiss star fell from his Interwetten Moriwaki after tagging the back of Anthony West.

Elias, who previously took back-to-back wins in rounds two and three, is now 42 points clear of Luthi in the championship standings, with Iannone 46 points from Elias in third.

Corsi's accident should have handed Talmacsi his first Moto2 podium, but the former 125ccc world champion was caught by a pack of riders - led by fellow grand prix winners Roby Rolfo and Fonsi Nieto - with three laps to go.

Talmacsi provided little opposition and dropped to sixth by the chequered flag, while Italtrans (Suter) rider Rolfo claimed his first Moto2 podium by 0.2sec from Nieto's Holidaygym Moriwaki.

A notable performance came from Australian Damian Cudlin, who claimed seventh place on his Moto2 debut as a stand-in rider for the Pons Kalex team.

Catalunya winner Yuki Takahashi crashed early in the race, with Tech 3 team-mate Raffaele de Rosa one of five riders towards the back of the field to fall at turn one.

The next round will be held at Brno on August 15.

Race results - Germany:

1. Elias (Moriwaki) 29 laps
2. Iannone (Speed Up) +3.297s

125: Espargaro error means fifth win for Marquez

Marc Marquez took his fifth race victory in a row during the German 125cc Grand Prix on a drying track at the Sachsenring, after title rival Pol Espargaro crashed out.

Morning warm-up had been held in soaking wet conditions, but the weather quickly improved, prompting lots of late tyre changes on the grid.

The front row - Marquez, Espargaro, Bradley Smith and Sandro Cortese - joined the majority of the field in swapping wets for slicks, although some lower down the order saw the chance to pull clear with wets and hope they could hang on as the track dried.

The contrast in tyre choices saw home star Jonas Folger, running full wets, charge from eleventh to first on the opening lap with fellow German Marcel Schrotter in second (also on full wets).

Smith was the top slick rider in third by the end of the first lap of 27.

The tyre tipping point came on lap four when Marquez set the fastest lap of the race on slick tyres. The Spaniard had dropped to sixth in the early laps, but he and Espargaro were now past Smith and taking chunks of time out of second-placed Schrotter.

Race leader Folger, whose advantage over the first of the slick riders (Smith) had peaked at 6.8sec at the end of lap four, was then overtaken by both Marquez and Espargaro through turn one on at the start of lap seven. The wet tyre gamble hadn't worked.

Marquez and Espargaro then disappeared up front, pulling 13sec clear of a four-way battle for the final podium position - between Randy Krummenacher, Esteve Rabat, Smith and Tomoyoshi Koyama - by the halfway point of the race.

And the Marquez/Espargaro advantage just kept growing, peaking at a colossal 24sec.

The pair exchanged the lead periodically, with Marquez enjoying a clear advantage out of the last turn and along the home straight. But what was shaping up for a last lap showdown ended early when Espargaro suffered a massive highside while leading with three laps to go.

The Tuenti Derbi rider swung sideways at high-speed after running over a kerb and touching the grass, and was lucky not
