Here we have project Biketec 2009 which all started a bit late into the year. Originally i wanted to fit a triumph t595 back into the bike bad idea that was, now ya see i,v always been a fen of the single sider trumper and did nearly own one [i said nearly own one].So when i realised that was,nt going work to i found Gavin at GIA engineering in Notts who used to work at Spondon frame builders we talked and talked and agreed and did some more agreeing, i took the back end of the k2 up to him on the 16/3/09 my birthday with the trumper bits id purchased via ebay and let him do his thing 6 weeks later after alot of research and development i got my phone call that was this Friday just gone. I,d recieved up date photo,s as work was progressing but the finished project is fantastic. Whilst this was going on i had the eye brow LED indicators made so i could build them into the nose cone they turned out very nice as well, but thats only my opinion, A new wheel was bought already polished because a cock up some where at the powder coaters left the org wheel looking like shit so that was binned but hey may be it was a blessing in disguise. Saturday with the help of Dennis my well trusted Mechanic we build the swinger back in to the bike and to much relief with no major headaches at all slight fowling on the reasets gearchange side spaced them out by 25mm job done.test run was done yesterday Sunday morning and all was good, Mid day i was in Sherburn in emett Squires Cafe 2 up and me mates on a ride out Happy as a pig in --it. Big thanks to Gavin at GIA Dennis Maw my very trusted Mechanic, Phil Hyde for building my LED light boards and my Beautiful wife for putting up with me grumpy moods whilst the Bad Boy has been off the road.This project is,nt finished yet so keep ya eyes peeled guys theres more to come. Honest.
